A Quasi-Brittle damage model in the framework of Bond-based Peridynamics with Adaptive Dynamic Relaxation method

Peridynamics (PD) is a new tool, based on the non-local theory for modelling fracture mechanics, where particles connected through physical interaction used to represent domain. By using PD theory, damage or crack in material domain can be shown much practical representation. This study compares between Prototype Microelastic Brittle (PMB) model and Quasi-Brittle (QBR) framework of Bond-based (BBPD) terms plot. An in-house code Matlab was developed BBPD with inclusion both models, tested quasi-static problem implementation Adaptive Dynamic Relaxation (ADR) method order get faster steady state solutions. paper first attempt include ADR QBR model. analysed numerical absence failure compared displacement literature result that Finite Element Method (FEM).
